Collaborations
Below, you’ll find examples of recent collaborations I’ve participated in. For most of these projects, I worked with someone who was not an artist to produce something they brought to their audience as a limited-time offering. For each, I designed the graphic seen, hosted a pre-order on behalf of both parties, screenprinted the garments, and then shipped them out to customers.
The And Initiative
For this collaboration, I worked with health advocate Jayne Mattingly, to design an alternate logo for her organization and use it as the graphic for a t-shirt fundraiser.
The AND Initiative is a 501C3 Non for Profit. This Initiative is all about providing inspiration, advocacy, resources, support, and gifting mobility aids to those with chronic illness and physical disabilities, building a world where people with chronic illness and physical disabilities are empowered to thrive.
Crying is my Cardio
For this collaboration, I combined forces with body-positive fitness instructor, Laura Girard. The inspiration for this design came from an ongoing joke between Laura and the members of her online platform, The Energy Academy.
Both Laura and I have a similar sense of humor, so we thought it appropriate to offer two variations of the phrase: one in a sailor-tattoo-style, created by me, and the other using a ‘no-frills’ single line of text in every designer’s favorite font, ‘Comic Sans’.
50% of the profits of this pre-order were donated to The Loveland Foundation.
Feeling Sturdy
For this collaboration, I teamed up with registered dietitian Maria Sylvester Terry (“Vitamin Ri”). This collection comes from a mutual love for everything bagels, feeling strong, and not taking things TOO seriously.
Taking inspiration from Megan Thee Stallion, a la ‘Hot Girl Summer’, we brainstormed a variation of the phrase (ok, an extreme deviation) that focused on the feeling that comes from working out and nourishing your body with *gasp* CARBS, and not solely aesthetics.
As a result, you get a flexing everything bagel with cream cheese.
